Support Clean Water in West Mobile
$1,050 raised
$3,000 goal
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
We need your help to make sure it's safe for you to SWIM!
Mobile Baykeeper has monitored water quality in Mobile and Baldwin Counties for two years, collecting hundreds of samples and sending thousands of emails to residents around popular swimming holes to give them the latest updates on their local water quality. Our sampling gives families the ability to know when and where it's safe to swim to protect their health. This sampling has been made possible thanks to the generous donations of residents and our members.
After responding to recent citizen concerns voiced by your friends and neighbors, we've been asked to patrol and monitor the water quality at Milkhouse Creek at Optimist Lake. This site is new and unfunded. As Mobile Baykeeper deals with the financial impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, we need your support to be able to monitor this West Mobile SWIM site. Donate what you can today to make sure we can monitor water quality at Milkhouse Creek at Lake Optimist for the 2020 SWIM season. Once we reach the 25% mark, we’ll start sampling and sample until the funds run out. Once we reach $3,000, we’ll have the funds necessary to sample for a full year.
